Wedding Capes, Watteau Capes & Wings and Wraps

I have designed four styles of wedding capes and wings. These are now also being referred to as "Veil Capes" and recently I have found out the "Wing" type of capes are now also known as Watteau capes. These a cross between a cape and a veil. I have tried to show lots of photo examples on this page, and I have created a big sliding gallery at the bottom of the page showing more examples of these capes & wings, but please contact me to enquire about anything.

For further information on these 4 types see each section below.

Capes.

The range of styles of capes I make.

A short bridal capelet

Pull over the head style cape.

These bridal capes are simple to wear- there are no fastenings and they just pull over the head.

They can be made with any of the laces I have in stock see the laces on the veil page.

They do not have to have lace around the neck, they can have a stitched pencil edge or a cut edge  both of which are unobtrusive, allowing the details of the dress or jewelry to show through.

All the capes can be any length to suit the brides requirements.

The tulles can be sourced in many colours but colours of laces available are white and ivory and I have a stock of some black lace.

A drape back cape

The cape which is attached to the shoulders or bodice.

There is two versions of this cape but it is made exactly the same.
The above version is attached to the back bodice, its named the Leonora cape.
The other version is to attach the cape to the shoulder straps, this is the Khera cape.

Photo examples shown below.

Its fastened simply by using brooch pins or safety pins on the inside of the bodice or strap, so they pin cant be seen.
I can send video instructions of how to attach it. It can be attached and removed easily to your dress quickly and simply.

Wings

THE HEATHER WINGS SHOULDER CAPE/SLEEVE
These wings are a pair of tulle attachments which can be fixed onto the dress where ever the bride would like them,  the shoulder straps or the bodice.  They can be fixed by using simple  safety pins or tiny brooches.

One design is to fix ontop of the shoulder strap and can be used to cover the tops of the brides arms. Ideal if the bride wants to cover her arms or shoulders.  Some examples are  sewn onto a beaded or lace appliques to give an extra sparkle to the brides dress.

Another design is to fix the wings into the bodice and float down from there.
They can be any length or colour of tulle, and can have Swarovsu crystals or pearls dotted all over.

satin edge wedding cape

The Satin edge tie around neck

The Christine tie around the neck style cape.
These capes fasten around the neck by a tie or a button and loop.
They can be any length or colour and can have lace around.  Christine chose the satin edge.
The cape I made for the real Christine is a two layer version, so the longer layer can become the train over the dress or any length the bride wants. Its made to easure just contact me.
